John Walsh, the head coach of Denton, Texas Guyer High School, has known Taylor Bible since he was in the 7th grade. "He was always a big kid. Before he got to Guyer, he played in the backfield at running back and quarterback, but we knew he'd play defensive line. It took him some time to warm up to the idea."

The fact every team in Indiana makes the playoffs (unique to Indiana) creates an optimum focus on conference races and winning conference championships. As of today there is no doubt that Carmel has earned its number 1 ranking in Indiana big school football. In a classic "Big on Big" matchup the Carmel Greyhounds beat the Warren Central Warriors 24 to 21.
