Tonight is going to be one of the biggest football games in Boilermaker history. Ohio State comes calling both the Boilers and Bucks are sporting 5-0 records. This game will also have recruiting implications as one of the top defensive back prospects in Georgia will be making his official visit.
“I'm visiting
Purdue
this weekend,”
Brynden Trawick
told the Boiler Sports Report.
“I’m looking forward to a great weekend. Purdue is playing great so far and this is going to be a huge game for them. The atmosphere should be crazy.
“Purdue’s record is definitely in their favor as far as I’m concerned. I’m looking for a school with a good winning program that goes to bowl games. Purdue is that school.
“Purdue also has great academics, they play in the Big Ten and I get along with all the coaches. Coach (Lou) Anarumo is recruiting me and he’s been great.”
Trawick, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound, safety, from Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry, is a three-year varsity letter winner.
Trawick had 74 tackles and a couple of interceptions as a junior and was named all-county.
Brynden has scholarship offers from Purdue,
Indiana
,
Boston College
,
Ole Miss
,
Mississippi State
, U Conn,
Michigan State
,
Marshall
,
Maryland
and
Louisiana Tech
.
We asked Trawick if he has begun to narrow his school choices.
“Right now I’d say that Purdue (10-5), Michigan State, Indiana, Boston College, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Marshall are my favorites. I don’t have a leader. I want to take all my visits to see what’s out there.”
Sprayberry has a 2-3 record so far in 2007. Trawick has 25 solo tackles, a couple of pass break-ups and he returned a kick 94 yards for a touchdown.
Look for information on Trawick’s official visit on Sunday night.
