In Hagen He Trusts
Hagen lands Indy WR!

Joe Tiller and the Purdue football program is up to 8 verbal commitments. One of those commitments is Jordan Brewer, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound, wide receiver, from Carmel, Ind., a suburb of Indianapolis. The Boiler Sports Report caught up with Brewer and he had plenty to say about his verbal commitment to Purdue.
“Coach (Mark) Hagen has been recruiting me for a while now.”
Jordan Brewer
said.
“Coach Hagen would come out to my basketball games and we would keep texting back and forth. That’s the biggest reason for my commitment to
Purdue
. Coach Hagen was the first coach to show interest in me and that meant a lot.”
Brewer transferred to Carmel from Pike high in Indianapolis. Jordan didn’t play football at Carmel as a sophomore but he did letter in basketball. As a junior, Brewer became one of the leading wide receivers in the conference and he received several post season honors.
Brewer chose Purdue over
Ball State
and
Illinois
. All three schools offered a scholarship. A position change will be just a formality when Brewer arrives in West Lafayette.
“Coach Hagen told me that I’m going to start at wide receiver but I know that I’m probably going to bulk up and end up playing tight end.
“We also talked about basketball and what I was told is that I have to spend my first year on the football team and if my grades were where I need them to be then we can talk about playing basketball.”
Brewer carries a 2.5 GPA in the classroom and he’s waiting on his test scores.
