Purdue Loses Tight End Prospect

Nic DiLillo, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound, tight end, from Madison, Ohio, is a prospect that Purdue has sent a scholarship offer to. In addition to Purdue, DiLillo had several more scholarship offers under his belt. In a recent conversation with Nic, he has found the perfect fit and made a verbal commitment.

"Purdue, Syracuse, Maryland, Cincinnati, Kansas, Akron, Kansas, Nebraska, Clemson and Wisconsin all offered me a scholarship." Nic DiLillo said.

"I gave Clemson my verbal commitment. I went down there on a visit and I felt comfortable and I felt at home. I felt a good vibe at Clemson.

"I liked the academics that Clemson has to offer. I liked the coaches and everyone made me feel like part of the family. Recruiting is a long haul. I'd say I'm 99.9 percent locked up with Clemson.

"Is there a scholarship offer out there that could make me change my mind? I don't think so."

DiLillo will be a three-year varsity starter in 2007. He caught 48 passes for 480 yards and 4 touchdowns as a junior and was named all-state.
