For you Boilermaker fans that have your own recruiting boards with offers and non-offers, make sure you have Graham Pocic as an offer along the offensive line but Joe Tiller and his staff will have to work hard to get Graham to West Lafayette for an official visit.
“I have an offer from
Purdue
right now but I prefer other schools over them right now,” said
Graham Pocic
, a 6-foot-7, 310-pound, tackle from Lemont, Ill.
“I have offers from
Illinois
,
Wisconsin
, Purdue,
Florida State
,
Tennessee
,
Vanderbilt
,
Indiana
,
Duke
,
North Carolina State
,
Maryland
and
Northwestern
.
“My favorites are
Florida
State, Florida, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Illinois. There’s not a leader right now. I want to wait for little bit to start narrowing anything down.”
Pocic plans on hitting the road after the school year to take some unofficial visit.
“I haven’t been to any spring games but I plan on visiting
Penn State
on May 31st.” Pocic said.
“I’m also planning on Florida and Florida State in July. Now that Tennessee has offered, I’ll probably stop and check them out.”
Graham Pocic has been one of the top offensive line prospects in Illinois the past two seasons. Pocic was dominant last year as a sophomore at the Scout.com combine in Iowa City and he parlayed that into a very good junior season.
In my latest trip to Lemont, I saw Pocic hitting the weights hard. A college recruiter a few years back told me that high school kids make the biggest transformation in their body from their junior to senior seasons and never is this more true than in Graham Pocic.
Pocic is leaner but more muscular and he’d a couple of inches taller. The potential to be an outstanding tackle at the next level is definitely in the cards but will it be in West Lafayette? Only time will tell.
