The fallout from Purdue's 1-11 season has resulted in one transfer, but likely no more than that.
Sophomore linebacker Armstead Williams has transferred from Purdue, a source confirmed to Boiler Sports Report. This news was first reported by WPIAL Insider, which said Williams will enroll at Duquesnse.
Williams played in each of Purdue's 12 games, recording just nine tackles in a limited role. The Monroeville, Pa., native will be a short distance from home at Duquesnse.
There have not been any other transfers from the Purdue program, the source said, and none are expected at the moment.
The open scholarship from the Williams transfer could become useful for Purdue as it looks to fill the 2014 recruiting class in the final weeks before Signing Day.
