Leaving a power program like Louisville, talented center Zach Price had plenty of possibilities for his transfer.
On Sunday, he made his decision official by signing to Missouri, picking the Tigers over Purdue and others.
Purdue jumped into the mix for Price early, with head coach Matt Painter reaching out to the 6-foot-10 center right after he announced the decision to transfer. Price visited Purdue last weekend, but was sold on Missouri while on campus this past weekend.
At Purdue, Price would have offered a plan at center if sophomore A.J. Hammons were to leave for the NBA Draft at season's end. Now, Purdue turns its attention to former Indiana high school star Michael Chandler, a transfer from Northwest Florida State.
A source says that Chandler is now a top priority for Purdue.
