A Big Ten foe has offered Illinois commit Evan Panfil. Will that change anything for him?

Lincoln Way Central defensive end Evan Panfil has been committed to Illinois for a few months now, but that did not stop one Big Ten school from offering him over the weekend.

"I did receive an offer from Purdue on Saturday," he reported.

The 6'5, 230-lb Panfil has been to West Lafayette many times and his mother went there and his cousin, uncle and grandfather played football there. Despite all that, he is keeping his word.

"Right now, I'm 100% committed to the Illini."
