Johnson Delays Announcement

Gary West Side (Ind.) junior WR Lonnie Johnson has decided to postpone his commitment.

Originally slated for this Friday, West Side High School's star athlete Lonnie Johnson has decided to postphone the announcement of his college choice until a later date.

"After talking with my coaches, I have decided to wait until my [class of] 2013 teammates have made their decision," he posted to his Twitter account. "It would not be far for me to take their shine."

The 6'3, 180-lb wide receiver holds offers from Bowling Green, most recently Illinois, and Ohio State, considered to be his leader.

"I will be making my choice another day, just not Friday. Thanks for everyone that stood behind me. I wish you all the best of luck," he finished.

Johnson had 25 touchdown receptions as a junior.
